My first guitar my mother bought me when I was about 6 or 7 years old, and since then I gradually got closer to the world of music. Like many guitarists in Mexico, I started playing popular music and it was not until I was 15 years I entered the High School of Music, where I had the opportunity to study with Master Isabelle Villey. I obtained her bachelor’s degree in Guitar. During my studies in Mexico, I had the opportunity to learn from other great guitarists such as Juan Carlos Laguna.
Later, thanks to savings and scholarship “Huygens” government of the Netherlands,I moved to The Hague, where I studied the Master of Guitar in the Koninklijk Conservatorium with the famous guitarist Zoran Dukic. Recently, thanks to the Scholarship Program of Study Abroad FONCA-CONACYT , I completed a second Master ‘s degree, this time in Musical Pedagogy in the same conservatory.
Thanks to my career as a guitarist, in 2008 I was awarded from the President of the Republic National Youth Award in artistic activities, this is the most important recognition granted by the government of Mexico to their young.
As a concert pianist, I have presented at festivals in Mexico, the Netherlands, Spain, Belgium, Germany, Denmark, Austria and the United States, introducing in the most important venues such as Carnegie Hall in New York and the Concertgebouw of Amsterdam.
I have also been invited to join the jury in guitar competitions in the United States, Spain and Mexico.
I have worked with orchestras in Mexico and Holland, including Holland premiere concerto for two guitars and orchestra by Jana Obrovská, and toured Holland and Belgium with the NJO orchestra (National Youth Orchestra Netherlands).
